Anthony Lamm’s Industry Association Activities
Anthony Lamm has a long history of applying his legal practice to current events and evolving challenges in secured lending.
Over his career of 30 years, Lamm has shared his mastery of regulatory compliance and creditors’ rights through articles and presentations. He has also served on special committees for nationally recognized industry associations. Lamm is an active member of ELFA, NEFA and TMA. Read more on his involvement below.
Lamm has been an active member of the Equipment Lease & Finance Association (ELFA) since 1995. Throughout his membership, Lamm has accepted invitations to join the ELFA Credit & Collection Committee and the ELFA Legal Forum. Lamm has used these platforms to present his research and opinions on legal issues that impact equipment leasing.
Lamm has attended many national and regional conferences hosted by ELFA over the years. He has participated in these ELFA events in a variety of roles. In 2009, Lamm led a round table discussion on Second Lein Lending for the ELFA legal forum. In 2017, he presented on the “Evergreen Clause” that affects renewal and end of lease terms.
Lamm has accepted repeated invitations to participate on panels for the ELFA legal forum at national events. He has spoken as a panelist for topics such as multi-state leasing, co-debtor stays and private label servicing programs. Lamm has also appeared as a solo ELFA presenter to discuss the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and private label transaction issues.

Since 1995, Lamm has been an active member of the Eastern Association of Equipment Lessors (EAEL). This organization was renamed as the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) after merging with the United Association of Equipment Lessors (UAEL). Throughout his membership, Lamm has devoted his time to NEFA’s legal education activities. Lamm accepted invitations to participate on the NEFA Legal Committee and served as its Chairman in 2017.
Lamm joined his local chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) to pursue a growing interest for alternative forms of lending. Being a member of TMA has helped Lamm expand his knowledge and practice of asset-based lending and factoring. These forms of lending compliment his mastery of equipment leasing. Lamm served as Vice President at Large for his local TMA chapter from 2006 to 2011.
Participating in these industry associations has inspired Lamm to publish several articles on secured lending over the years. His writing also focuses on regulatory requirements under the Dodd Frank Act and state law compliance for commercial entity transactions.
Lamm is a nationally recognized thought leader on FTC regulations of commercial transactions that are disguised consumer transactions. He frequently advises businesses across the United States in regards to this area of federal oversight and other specialized issues.
