About Anthony Lamm, the Man behind Lamm Law
Anthony Lamm graduated from Temple University in 1980. He obtained a bachelor’s degree with high honors in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration. He went on to graduate from James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University four years later. Upon his graduation from law school, Lamm served as a Law Clerk at the Bankruptcy Court of New Jersey.
From 1985 to 1990, Lamm focused on equipment finance and creditors’ rights as Assistant Counsel for a national trailer leasing company. During this tenure at Strick Lease, Inc., the company expanded from 35 to 72 branches across North America. This expansion included the establishment of Strick Lease, Inc’s first operations in Canada and Mexico.
There, Lamm crafted multi-million dollar master equipment lease agreements. He also developed a skill set for sophisticated syndication and assignment of equipment leases to national banks and finance companies. These services include Program Agreements and Vendor Wholesale National Programs.
Upon leaving Strick Lease, Inc., Lamm went on to join the Century Equipment Leasing Corporation. As their General Counsel, he coordinated a $35 million liquidation of the company’s leasing portfolio. In 1993, Lamm began his career of private legal practice. In 1999, Lamm merged his private practice with a Northeast area law firm to form Lamm Rubenstone, LLC.
Lamm has a long history of active participation in industry associations. As a member of the American Bar Association, Lamm served on their Commercial Financial Services Committee and its Creditors’ Rights Subcommittee. He also served on the AMA’s Committee on Banking Law.
He is an active member of several national associations that are dedicated to the equipment leasing industry. These include the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) and the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA). Lamm has served on several of ELFA’s special committees. These include the Credit and Collections Committee, Legal Committee and the Service Providers Business Counsel Steering Committee.
Lamm is also an active member of a local chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). He served as a board member and as Vice President at Large for his TMA chapter from 2006 to 2011. Lamm is also a member of the Board of Editors for Law Journal Newsletters and their Equipment Leasing newsletter.
